Just stopping by to say Hi and read your nice post on the three connected feasts of Christmas Epiphany and the Presentation, (which is known as Candelario in Mexico.) I'm writing about the feasts myself for a chapter in my book Very Young Catholics in Mexico, which covers the liturgical season from Advent through Candelario. It's a fun book, since I get to include pinatas, posadas, and Our Lady of Guadalupe (feast day December 12, smack in the middle of Advent and a very big celebration of its own, of course.) I always get a chill reading Simeon's words "Now Lord, let your servant depart in peace..." What a happy man Simeon must have been, to know that he had seen the Messiah. Anyway, I loved the blog and this post.
